You interact with them similarly to the old Sims, by choosing from available actions, sometime dependent on what kind of relationship you have. As you build your relationship, you go from acquaintance to friend to good friend.
If you choose to be romantic, you can go from budding romance to date to partner. Those are all the levels I have seen so far. One note about interacting with other Sims - one thing I didn't realize right away is you have to scroll to see all the possible actions. Sometimes the other Sims will offer you money to do things, such as kicking another Sim's trash can, slapping another Sim or even bringing them some cheese. The only real negative I have found so far is the fact that the game crashes regularly.
But the beauty of the fact that it is an iTunes app means that the makers can push updates out for it whenever they want, so I hope this will be fixed soon.
Most of the time it's not too aggravating, but the last time it happened for me I was trying to visit a particular house and every time I got there it crashed so I had to give up and do something else. I haven't gotten very far in the game so I'm sure are other things to be discovered.
So far I like it a lot and I think it will satisfy me at least for a little while. Eventually, however, I will have to buy the actual computer version. EDIT: after posting this last night, I tried rebooting my ipod by powering it down and that seemed to help the crashing. Thanks a lot.. As you said, we have to buy recipe and ingredients first before cooking and so others.. I want to get Sims 3!!!!
I'm thinking of buying it this weekend. Thanks for your review. The cooking stuff sounds complicated though. I'm thinking Sim 3 might be just as hard as my real life For fast money, go fishing, fill up your inventory as much as possible and sell to the quik market. Dina yes you must get it!!
And let me know how you like it. I think I'm going to get it for my birthday. If my computer can handle it. I need to check the requirements. You may want to read the Amazon reviews on it too. The gameplay is different - you can only follow 4 families or something like that. You can get Tim to do the cooking for you ;. Thanks for posting this-yours is like the only blog that gives help for the iPod version of the game.
Also, does anyone know how to actually start the relationship? Cuz I've been trying to get to "budding romance" for 2 days to no avail. Anyone know how to reach the top of your career? I have already asked for a raise and gotten one.
I am best friends with my boss and reported a coworker for stealing, but I can't seem to get to the last level. I don't get why would you waste ten dollars on the game when you can have your iPod hacked and download it and many more things for free o. Anyways I have a question, how do you know what are the ingridians and who is your boss. Yesh i just got sims 3 today but im alredy in a budding relationship with my boss so i get raises alot, but i dont know how to open my inventory oh, and its the ipod version.
I've just figured out how to get a friend live with you- first you talk to the person that you want to live with and start a budding romance by being romantic. Then keep going until that person's your partner. Propose to them by talking to them, going to romantic and scroll down to propose. Talk again, go to romantic and select get married.
Talk to them, scroll down to actions and select move in. They now live with you. Finally, talk to them, scroll to divorce and select it.
DON'T make them move out though! Then talk to them normally until they are your best friend. I can't seem to get a raise I work at the quickmart. I befriended my boss, made conversation then asked for raises. I did this for a few days, but im stuck at vice pres. For money, I grow veggies in the garden then sell them to the store, as well as fish 3 tuna will get you bucks and sell them at the store. Be mindfull, keep some for yourself, because it costs twice as much as selling it at the store.
I'm getting mad, I bought the sims3 for ipod touch, I can play it and everything but i cant get the update s!!!!!!!!!! To get a raise you just need to be friends with your boss. Also a neat way of getting fast cash is to go fishing and sell them at the market. Im married to James or jessie ha dont even know the name but i cant find the option of asking him to move in. Also you have to go to work for a few days to get a raise and if your friends with your boss than report anyone steeling or such things.
If not friends with boss you may get fired. I enjoy this game but it has its flaw's. No it aint!! How do i solve this? I can only recall one update since I've had it and I got it shortly after it came out.
To woohoo someone keep talking to someone about romance until start dating at some point it will be added as an extra conversation piece if you scroll down on the romance topic. Was asked to get a new recipe but owned all already. Finally sold one then bought it again and this worked! How many times do you get promoted before you are at the top of your game?
I havn't got the update, sense i bought it, it shows no new updates and i dont have any of the new stuff like other's have with their sims3 for itouch. This sucks This game isn't how I imagined it I wish we were able to make families. I also wanted to design my own house Or make like a little neighbor hood of Sims like you could do in the Sims 2 PC version.
On iPod Touch, none of these features are avalible It's starting to tick me off. EA needs to update NOW!!! A lot of people are. Asking questions so here is some -find out cooking ingredients- when your walking around town at the bottom right corner next to your goals there will be the goal button thing. Click it and then swipe your finger to te right or left till you find the items you have.
Scroll down to see the recipes and click on them to see the ingredients. If it's not workingnand the person you are trying it on is your like bestfriend or something get it back down to just friend by being rude then start acting romantic.
Fill up your inventory with fish and then sell for about ! Like anything in the Sims universe, there are lots of little details throughout that will give players reason to smile and in many cases, laugh. The morbid sense of humor that accompanies the Sim universe is intact as well. My favorite element of the game was the different personalities that you can play with and their own goals. You can satisfy your social interaction requirement by talking to trees. Your life goals may include peeing in every toilet in town.
Or watching three people sleep. The skeptic in me wonders if an intricate game like the Sims can be converted to a mobile platform so seamlessly. So if you have one of those i-Devices, you could. Now, I don't have it so I don't know if there's true aging in it, but I do recall reading that you could have kids. I think that was Sims 3 Ambitions on iTunes. That may be the only handheld Sims game to have babies.
I have all three Sims 3 games for my iPod touch, and yes, you can have children in Ambitions - however, they stop growing after they reach toddler. There's no aging of any kind, you just come home from work and poof! In all honesty, I consider any Sims game without the option to have children and continue on the circle of life as the PC games do a complete waste of time, effort and money.
The only reason I bought Ambitions for iPhone was because EA advertised you could have children, and I suspect many others who bought it did so for the same reason. Evidence to support this would be that, though many Lifetime Rewards from the PC game appear in the DS version, there is no 'Fertility Treatment' reward - nor is there a 'Family Orientated' trait.
Or, indeed, any children's toys in the buy catalogue. I would suggest, don't waste your money. Save it up for something else. Like The Sims 3 Late Night. In The Sims FreePlay , two sims must perform romantic interactions until they reach Partner relationship level in order to propose marriage. Sims have a choice of five rings to propose with, with each more expensive ring giving a better chance that the recipient sim will say yes.
If the recipient sim says yes to the proposal, the sims will become engaged. The sims then must fill their relationship bar one more time for the marriage interaction to become available. The sim who did not begin the marriage interaction will then move into the other sim's home, leaving their former home vacant. In The Sims 3 , Sims can marry every life state available. However, some of the life states will not be available for marriage unless the player takes some necessary steps.
In The Sims 4 , a Sim of any life state can be married with no workarounds required, provided they are young adults or older. This is basically like a normal party , except that the Sims are expected to get married. In The Sims 4 , a wedding can be held by selecting "Plan a Social Event" on a Sim's phone and then selecting the "Wedding" option, by clicking on a wedding arch and planning a wedding from there, or by scheduling an event in a household's calendar [ TS4S ].
A household cannot plan a wedding party unless someone in it is engaged. There is a limited number of Sims who can be invited to a wedding party. In The Sims 2 , players don't need to invite the bride or the groom to the party if they don't live together, because they will automatically come by themselves. Invited Sims will arrive in Formal wear. When the marriage takes place, both Sims switch into wedding attire formal wear and head beneath the wedding arch.
In The Sims 4 , Sims can invite a minimum of two guests excluding the Sims who are getting married up to a maximum of fifteen guests. They can also optionally hire a caterer , a musician and a mixologist. Musicians will entertain the guests, mixologists will serve them drinks, and caterers will prepare food for them and bake a wedding cake. Sims with feminine clothing preference are automatically changed into wedding dresses and Sims with masculine clothing preference are changed into tuxedos, but the player is free to change them into other outfits before the ceremony starts.
Guests will wear formal outfits. A wedding party is scored like a normal party. How well it scores depends on how much the guests are enjoying the party. If players can keep all the guests happy until the end of the party, it will become a great wedding party, and the married Sims will get a good memory about it. If the player wants a wedding party to end well, it is in their best interest to invest in party objects, such as a stereo and buffet table , and ensure that everyone is in a good mood.
If the wedding party is successful, a limo will come for the newlyweds to take them on their honeymoon. While they are on their honeymoon, their need bars will have a significant increase. If Bon Voyage is installed, the player can arrange for the Sims to have an actual honeymoon trip. Interestingly, in The Sims 2 , if the wedding party takes place with many family members around, and there is music playing, the bride may experience a want to dance with her father after the ceremony and the "first dance" with her husband.
Contrary to popular belief, it is possible for marriages in the Sims' world to end in ways other than death in The Sims 2. If two married Sims have their relationship with each other fall enough, such as through witnessing an affair , one Sim can kick the other to the curb.
To have the couple get a divorce, choose whichever Sim will do the breaking up, click the other spouse, and select "Break Up". This option will only appear if the active Sim's relationship is low enough with their spouse; however, this option is always available in The Sims 3.
The divorcee will then flee the lot and reappear in the Family bin in the neighborhood screen. They do not have the option of have taking any children they had or of remaining in the house. If the player wants them to stay in the house after the divorce, they will have to be moved back in. In The Sims 3 , the player will never see the word 'Divorce' in the game unless it is a wish during a Mid-Life Crisis, or a memory if The Sims 3: Generations is installed.
However, the "Break Up" option will almost always be available. When the "divorcer" divorces the "divorcee", they will still live together, however either Sim may have a wish to move out. This moodlet will last for days.
