If you see it again it's because something has changed so please set your preferences accordingly. I started producing through Logic a few years ago. I used Camel Audio Alchemy with that and everything was fine.

Every sound wabbles, sounds glichy, lofi, just doesn't sound like what the actual sample sounds like in other programs. I chalked this up to Pro Tools just sucking with VI's and called it a day. Now I have Ableton and I'm having the same problem. It doesn't matter in which buffer size or sample rate I put it in, or if I use my interface or built-in output; I still have this problem.

Anybody heard of this before, have any solutions, or anything I can try? Steve Fogal. Log in or register to post comments views. Bounce Distortion - it's not pro-tools or logic or cubase Hi All, I have absolutely torn my hair out to figure out this one. Your files are most probably perfect, test them in Quicktime! Hopefully this helps out someone! Another thought and this happened to me once - could it be that your CD-write drivers are doing something weird?

The spin speed or the track alignment goes 'off' and even the drive it was burned on doesn't do so well. Some disc players will play it fine, some won't. IIRC the one time this happened to me, a driver reinstall fixed it or maybe it was a complete wipe and OS reinstall I removed the limiter and it was distorting but not as bad. Im using nero to burn to cd, but i also copied the bounces over the network to two laptops and they were distorting as well.

Is it just one particular plug-in causing this problem or do all your virtual instruments do this? I change buffer size but then the distortion returns after a short time.

My Studio. I had exactly the same problem in the past in a different DAW. Finally I discovered that there was an issue with the word clock syncing my external devices to the DAW. In case you are using word clock to sync your system, check the cables. If you have your soundcard connected with other devices e. Otherwise, check if the sample rate you use in your pro tools session, is the same with the sample rate at your soundcard's control panel.

I hope it helps. Nowadays I am a Pro Tools user. I had face exactly the same problem before about 7 years. Here are three ways to remove noise: EQ. Use equalization to roll off the high-frequency hiss. De-Noise Plug In. Noise reduction plug-ins work by sampling sections of pure noise i. Multi-band Compression. In the Effects Control panel, drop down the Noise Reduction settings menu. Adjust the Noise Reduction setting until you are happy with the look.

Move the Preview Window around the screen. The most common reason for distortion is an input overload like the microphone overload mentioned above. A distorted sound can be resolved by placing a greater distance between the sound source and the microphone. Choose the right audio recording equipment.

If you choose to use music, leave it to the beginning and end of your presentation.
